When will you ship my order?
All orders are processed within 1 to 2 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email. You will receive another notification when your order has shipped.
How can I track my order?
Once your order has been shipped, you will receive an email containing a tracking number. You can use this tracking number to check the status of your delivery.
Can I return an item purchased online?
Yes you can. 4hardware accepts returns within 30 days of delivery for eligible items.To be eligible, items must be unused, with all tags attached and in the original packaging. For full details, please refer to our refund policy page.
How long will it take to receive my refund?
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at support@4hardware.com.au.
Do you offer custom designs or bulk orders?
Yes — we handle custom finishes, sizes and engraving for contractors, interior designers and larger projects.Email support@4hardware.com.au with your specifications (quantity, finish/colour, dimensions, engraving, timeframe). We typically provide a custom quote and indicative production schedule within 1–2 business days (excluding weekends and public holidays).
Are your products suitable for outdoor use?
Many items are suitable for outdoor environments, using stainless steel, weather-resistant coatings and durable construction. Please check the Specifications on each product page for outdoor suitability, or contact us for advice tailored to your local climate.
I just got my order and something is damaged/faulty/wrong. What do I do?
Please inspect your order as soon as you receive it and contact us immediately if the item is damaged, defective, or not what you ordered. Kindly include photos of the item in your email so we can resolve the issue as quickly as possible.You will not need to pay the return postage fee for damaged, faulty, or incorrect items.
Do solid brass handles develop patina over time?
Solid brass naturally develops a patina. Our brass components use a high-temperature glazing treatment that adds a protective barrier to slow patina and improve durability. If you prefer a silver-tone look with stronger tarnish resistance, consider our chrome-plated or nickel-finished options; with routine care, they help maintain a bright surface.
How can I care for my products?
- Mix a few drops of mild dish soap with warm water.
- Dip a soft cloth into the soapy water and gently wipe the handles.
- Rinse with a damp cloth and dry immediately with a soft towel.
Preventative care
- Avoid harsh chemicals (e.g. ammonia, bleach) and abrasive pads.
- Dry surfaces after cleaning to prevent water spots.
- For plated or coated finishes, use non-abrasive cleaners only.
