We group our range under one set of finish names, so handles, knobs, door handles, hinges and door stops ordered together match.
The finishes
Matt Black — a flat, non-reflective black. The most common finish in Australian kitchens and the easiest to match across brands.
Brushed Brass — a warm gold tone with a fine brushed grain. Works with timber, stone and white cabinetry.
Gold — brighter and more reflective than brushed brass.
Brushed Nickel — a soft silver-grey with a brushed grain. A quieter alternative to chrome and the usual match for stainless steel appliances.
Polished Chrome — bright mirror silver. Hard-wearing and easy to clean.
Antique Brass — a darker, aged gold with deliberate variation. Suits Hamptons, federation and country kitchens.
Gunmetal — a dark grey-brown metal tone, between black and bronze.
Materials
Zinc alloy — the most common material for cabinet handles and door levers worldwide. Cast, then plated or powder coated.
Stainless steel — used for bar handles and hinges; strong and easy to clean.
Aluminium — light, used for lip and edge pulls.
Brass — used for smaller handles, knobs and hinges.
Looking after your hardware
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry it. Do not use metal polish, abrasive pads, bleach, ammonia or solvent-based cleaners — they damage the coating.
Coastal and high-humidity locations
Brass, gold and zinc alloy finishes are not recommended within a few kilometres of the sea, or in bathrooms without ventilation. Salt air causes spotting and discolouration that no coating fully prevents.
Batch variation
Finishes can vary slightly between production batches, especially antique and brushed finishes. If you are doing a whole kitchen, order the full quantity at once.
